Opera New Jersey 2009 Summer Season
Opera New Jersey invites audience members to take an operatic world tour, all from the comfort of their seats. The Garden State's largest and most prolific opera company will produce its renowned summer season main-stage productions at the McCarter Theatre from July 10th to 26th, offering performances guaranteed to transport the audience to far-off times and places. From the hot and dry middle east, Mozart's comic masterpiece The Abduction from the Seraglio; to the dramatic lowlands of Scotland with Donizetti's bel canto tragedy Lucia di Lammermoor; and finally a fun and fanciful romp with Asian-themed The Mikado, Gilbert and Sullivan's most beloved operetta.
